If you could create the ultimate chip flavour, what would it be?
That’s what we asked Canadians from coast-to-coast to submit their flavour ideas for the chance to win $50,000 plus 1% of their flavour’s future sales.
To make the contest especially appealing to Millennials, we created a Facebook app that made it easy for fans to submit their flavour ideas.
Once they did, they received an image of a Lay’s bag customized to reflect their submitted flavour, which they could then share on Facebook and other social media.
Participants could also compete with friends in daily ‘Flavour Showdowns’.
We encouraged Canadians to rally behind their favourite flavour through TV, OOH, local newspapers and non-traditional media like lawn signs to generate buzz and awareness.
